On October 21, 2026, Brian Shoaf was promoted and sworn in as Lieutenant of the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office at the Crescent Valley Town Board meeting. The room was packed with Crescent Valley residents that stayed for the swearing in of Lt. Shoaf. Lt. Shoaf has 13 years Law Enforcement experience, and he has been with the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office for the past 3 years as a Sergeant in the Northern Command. Lt. Shoaf will now oversee the Northern Command of Eureka County. ECSO would like to congratulate Lt. Shoaf on his promotion.
