Have you ever been reading a good book and someone comes along ant tells you what is going to happen in the book? Well, I have. In fact, it happened just a few days ago, and now I don’t even want to read the book because they told me what was going to happen. This inspired me to write an article about why you should not spoil a book for others. First off readers often enjoy discovering surprises on their own, feeling suspense, and forming their own reactions to the story. Second When the ending or a big event is already known, the reader loses the excitement of wondering what will happen next. Suspense is one of the things that keeps people turning the pages. Lastly the excitement of discovering new events, connecting with characters, or being surprised by what happens next is ruined for the reader. This is why you should never ruin a book for someone.
